Joffrey’s Kiosk Crawl

With the arrival of the newest Joffrey’s kiosk in the Magic Kingdom, I was thinking (I know a scary thought for sure), “…where else in the parks can I get recharged with some amazing Joffrey’s coffee or tea?”

Trivia time:  Did you know that all the parks, including the water parks and Disney Springs, have Joffrey’s kiosks.  That would be 7 Parks (with Disney Springs) where you can drink the nectar of the gods! A total of 18 Kiosks for you to explore. Wait a minute…a Joffrey’s kiosk crawl.  Now we are talking!!!  Lets go on a little virtual crawl to see these kiosks.

Lets Start in the Magic Kingdom:

Even before you get into the Magic Kingdom, you can grab a coffee before you get on the monorail at the TTC.   While in the park, walk right down Main Street U.S.A. and into Tomorrowland for the newest kiosk Revive.  I love the theming and the style of Revive it fits in so well with the surrounding buildings and brings you back to an older time in Tomorrowland.  Its a phenomenal addition to the Magic Kingdom.

Let’s hope a monorail over to Epcot!  All Aboard, Stand clear of the doors…Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas.   Over at Epcot we will find 5 Kiosks, the most of any park.

As you step off the Monorail or a bus the classic Joffrey’s kiosk awaits.  In the the park itself you will find kiosks by Test Track, The American Adventure (I should go see that one of these days), between the United Kingdom and Canada, and by Disney Traders.  So many options…from the beginning of the park to the back of it.  There is no shortage of Joffrey’s flowing.  How about a Beverly inspired Joffrey’s drink??? Ok nevermind, ewe gross!

With the caffeine running through my veins, I am sure I could run to the Studios…but lets slow it down a bit and take the boat over to Hollywood Studios.

Right outside the exit of the Tower of Terror you, will find my absolute favorite Joffrey’s kiosk.  I drop everything to go to this one.  Get it, “drop everything” , LOL…I will be here all week folks.  Make sure you tip your waiter and waitress.   The kiosk near the entrance of Pixar Place is well themed and fits in very well with the building around it.

Time to hop bus and head over to Animal Kingdom.

I love both of these Kiosks, one near the entrance and the other one in Asia by Kali River Rapids.  Both kiosks fit the park perfectly.

Finally its time to head over to where it all started:  Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.  More trivia for you:  Typhoon Lagoon is the park that had the first Joffrey’s kiosk all the way back in 1995.

Typhoon Lagoon has 3 kiosks

Blizzard Beach has 2 Kiosks

I believe these are the best themed and most fun kiosks in all of the world.  They fit perfectly and always make me chuckle a little.  Make sure you try the mini doughnuts!!!

And finally after a long day throughout the parks, its time to relax and wind down at Disney Springs.

With all the hustle and bustle going on at Disney Springs, its nice to grab a great Joffrey’s coffee and just sit back, relax and do a little people watching.  What a great way to end our Joffrey’s kiosk crawl. Of course you can always stop at Tea Traders while at Disney Springs and get a full array of teas and drinks.

PHEW!!! I am beat, that sure was one fantastic kiosk crawl.  Whenever you are in the parks, look for any of these kiosks…it will surely bring a smile to your face.

When you can’t be at the parks, get some of the worlds greatest coffee sent right to your home at Joffreys.com.

What is Joffrey’s brewing at this year’s Flower and Garden Festival?

Let’s take a look at what Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company has to offer at this year’s Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

Festival inspired libations will keep you going as you make your way around the festival.

The Lemon Rita:   A frozen lemon-lime delight blended with 1800® Silver Tequila or Grey Goose Vodka®     Some of my favorite flavors all together,  YES please!

The Tiki Torch:  Frozen passion fruit thrills with sweet juicy flavors and a hint of tartness, all blended with Grey Goose Vodka.  Not sure if I will ever be able to let it go!   Get it Frozen…No;  come on now,   ok whatever onto the next drink

Frozen Strawberry-Lemon Sunset:  Layered frozen strawberry and lemonade topped with Grey Goose Vodka.    Could be a perfect ending to an amazing day.  As the sun sets in the background you take one sip and smile!

Spiked Chai Latte:   Iced, frozen or hot chai tea latte with chai spices, creamy vanilla and blended with Bailey’s Irish Crème® or Grey Goose Vodka.   I am partial to the Grey Goose on this one.  Just more up my alley, both are delicious.  Hey why not get both???

If you ask me, and I know you are, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the choices.  There is something for everyone, all different enough to satisfy whatever you are craving.    Take a look around for a Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company kiosk and let me know what you had.   Better yet, tweet us @themickeydudes with a picture and a comment!

For those of you not going down to the festival this year, why not order some great Joffrey’s coffee online at Joffrey’s

Joffrey’s and Disney: a phone call, a tie, a perfect marriage

Going WAAAAAAY back for this one.  Chris with a Mullet!
In this second installment of my interview with Joffrey’s head roast master Chris de Mezzo, we learn how Disney and Joffrey’s said “I Do.”

“I know that originally there was a single Joffrey’s kiosk at Typhoon Lagoon in 1995, but how did the partnership begin?”  Chris chuckled as soon as I asked this question, and I knew it was going to be a good story.

We go back to Tampa, 1993, when Chris was working in that little one-room roasting place.  Chris’ wife came in excited about a phone call.  “There is a man on the phone…you want to take this call!”  Chris had no interest in the call; as usual he was engrossed in his latest batch of coffee.  His wife insisted, explaining it was from Disney.  Chris still didn’t understand, but he took the call.  “Hey Chris, I recently had the best coffee in the world – how would you like to sell it in our parks?”

Two weeks later, Chris had a meeting in Orlando at Team Disney.  It’s important to note that every day, while roasting the most amazing coffee on the planet, Chris wears jeans and a t-shirt to work.  This meeting required a shirt and tie, and his closet offered few options:  he wore a white collared shirt and a tie he had for many years.  As he was doing initial introductions, with a colleague from one of Joffrey’s Orlando stores, Chris notices her eyes practically bulge out of her head.  Was it the shirt? Did it have a stain? Was the tie too old?  It was none of those.  Chris was informed that the characters on his tie were not Disney, in fact they were Bugs Bunny and the Tasmanian Devil!  Feeling a tad foolish, Chris wanted to take the tie off, but there was no time, in walked the Disney corporate team.  Despite this faux pas , Chris said the meeting went off without a hitch.  I guess when you have the best coffee in the world, even wearing a competitor’s tie can be overlooked.  Joffrey’s was off to Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, Test Track and eventually all of Disney!

My Favorite Joffrey’s Kiosk outside Tower of Terror.
Thank goodness Chris’ wife insisted he take that phone call.  Isn’t that just the way the world works, men often owing wonderful things to their amazing wives.   If only she had picked out his tie too!

Hey I think this is a pretty great marriage too.
