In honor of a new podcast that we will record this week called Face-Off, we are going to look at the ultimate face-off: The Dole Whip Versus the Mickeys Premium Ice cream Bar.
First the Dole Whip
What actually is a Dole Whip? It’s a cup of pure heaven thats what it is. It’s light and refreshing with a taste of sweet golden pineapple. You can add a little pineapple juice to it for a float and you have a picture of perfection. The Dole Whip is classic Disney and can be found at the Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom and over at the Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian. This epic treat will cost you around 5 dollars, let me repeat that….This epic treat will cost you around 5 dollars. Yup… that’s it 5 dollars to pure happiness. Oh by the way this treat is only about 90 calories. So if you are watching those pesky things this is the way to go. If you add the juice add about another 130 calories. Either way, on those hot summer days in Walt Disney World there may be nothing better to beat the heat than a Dole Whip!
Now onto the Premium Mickey Ice Cream Bar
I will admit this is a quintessential Disney snack. It’s shaped just like Mickeys head and it is…… OVER RATED!!!!! Yeah, I said it; this snack is the same chocolate covered ice cream bar you can get at any grocery store whenever you want. Big deal…that it’s in the shape of Mickey. I am sure I can hand you a few things in the shape of a Mickey and you wouldn’t like it. Just because it’s in the shape of Mickey does not change the taste of it. This is not a magic Mickey made of the greatest chocolate that the world has ever tasted. It’s a simple ice cream bar, which you eat the ears off. Think about it, you eat off Mickey’s ears!!! That’s just pure evil right there. Its 330 calories and will cost you $ 4.25. I can get a whole box of the same things at the store for less than that, they just won’t be in the shape of Mickey. Waste of Money!
I think it’s pretty easy to see who won this face off. THE DOLE WHIP!!!! I completely understand that everyone has an opinion and that you could completely disagree with me and that is great. That’s the idea of a face
